Subhanallah – Elhamdulillah- Allahu Ekber
Our Prophet (s.a.w.) said:
"Shall I teach you something? With it you will catch up with those who are ahead of you and surpass those who come after you. No one can surpass you, unless they do the same as you. If you say 'Subhanallah' 33 times, 'Elhamdülillah' 33 times, and 'Allahu ekber' 33 times after each prayer, that makes 99; and if you say as the hundredth 'La ilahe illallah, vahdehu la şeiîke leh, lehü'l-mülkü ve lehü'l-hamdü ve hüve ala külli şey'in kadir.', your sins will be forgiven, even if they are as numerous as the foam of the sea." (Muslim, Masajid 146)
SUBHANALLAH: Allah is subhan (exalted), free from any defect, weakness, and deficiency. This word expresses that Allah is free from all defects and deficiencies in His essence, His attributes, and His actions.
ELHAMDÜLİLLAH: As the Creator, Allah is the true owner of all the praises that are visible and known in the creatures. This word is said to praise Allah for His works and to thank Him for His blessings.
ALLAHU EKBER: This word means "Allah is the Greatest". That is, with His knowledge, His will, His power, His dominion... with all His names and attributes, it expresses Allah's greatness, majesty, and transcendence.
