Ramadan Iftar 2024

On 27 March 2024 the association held its annual Ramadan iftar at the headquarters, bringing together students and families from calligraphy, illumination, marbling and Ottoman courses.

Following a Qur'an recitation, IGMG Secretary General Kemal Ergün addressed the guests, underlining the role of culture and art, while Hasene Chairman Bekir Altaş shared insights into humanitarian projects. Ünal Ünalan presented ongoing initiatives and upcoming plans.

Fasting was broken collectively with prayers and shared dishes. Guests exchanged small Ramadan gifts, reviving the ‘diş kirası’ tradition. The evening concluded with warm conversations and congregational taraweeh prayer.
